Branding is not making things pretty. There, I said it. Branding MAY make things pretty but that is NOT its goal or intent.
Branding is all about fulfilling the business goals that are established in the strategy that is the foundation to everything. This strategy is the purpose, the passion, the values, mission, and goals of the business. It is the reason it exists… its why.
Now, you may say this sounds just like … (fill in the blank). Yes, there are many strategist that delve into the same pool. But, branding does take it a bit further. Branding doesn’t stop with the above – that is just the beginning. Brand strategy goes into the interplay of the senses, emotions, cultural influences, and social connections.

Some argue that marketing is part of branding and other that branding is part of marketing – in my humble opinion, it doesn’t really matter – you need both.
Branding establishes the long-term goals & actions (very long term), while marketing is focused on the more near-term awareness campaigns and sales is about the immediate exchange of goods/services for money. All three are needed, all three are important, and they each have their place.
With digital marketing we are looking at the 3-month to 2-year time frame for campaigns. These are relatively near term, but not immediate and can build awareness, and excitement for upcoming event or promotions that will draw attention and promote sales.

Through the utilization of research that is done through both the brand strategy and the marketing systems you will develop a clearer and more robust image of your ideal target client/patient.
With this “persona” or two in hand you will know where they congregate, what their interests are and where these cross in the interest and focus of your practice.
With this information you will be able to create highly focused and attention grabbing materials that will not only have your target client looking at your material but resonating with your practice and establishing an emotional connection with you. This emotional link is what creates a loyal and committed client base and the start of a tribe.
